AS PER INDUSTRY AGREEMENT
ACTION PLAN:-
As of 1st January 2009 Caltech will stop the supply of 40Kg Crystalyx products to our distributors. This follows industry agreement with the HSE to cease the manufacture of “intermediate weight feed block products in the weight range 26-80kg” from this date.In order for us to manage our stocks of raw materials and finished goods, we would appreciate you ordering your expected requirement of the 40kg Crystalyx products for the rest of this year by the end of October 2008.
The overall objective of this agreement between industry and the HSE is to reduce the risk of people sustaining manual handling injuries when using these products. Therefore all intermediate weight feed block products should be fed to stock and off the farm by 1st January 2010. The agreement permits customers to feed 40kg Crystalyx products throughout 2009, but they MUST be used up by 1st January 2010.
In the event that you have any residual 40kg product stocks left on your premises after 1st January 2009, Caltech have confirmed with HSE that you are permitted to sell these to livestock farmers during early 2009, on the understanding that they are fed and used on the farm by the 1st January 2010.
Our Crystalyx product range from 1st January 2009 will be available in:
22.5kg minitubs
80kg tublyx
These sizes of product are of course available now should you decide to withdraw from sales of intermediate weight products earlier.
The 50kg Horslyx will not be available after 1st January 2009, for the same reason and will be replaced by an 80kg Horslyx tublyx.
